Teacher Bios



Starhawk is an author, activist, permaculture designer and teacher, and a prominant voice
in modern Goddess religion and earth-based spirituality. She is the author or coauthor of
thirteen books, including the classics "The Spiral Dance" and "The Fifth Sacred Thing." Her
latest nonfiction is "The Empowerment Manual: A Guide for Collaborative Groups," and
forthcoming in February, 2016 is "City of Refuge," the long-awaited sequel to "The Fifth
Sacred Thing."

She lives on Golden Rabbit Ranch in Western Sonoma County, CA, where she and ranch manager Charles Williams are developing a model of carbon-sequestering land use
incorporating food forests and savannahs, planned grazing, and regenerative forestry.
She travels internationally, lecturing and teaching on earth-based spirituality,
permaculture, and the skills of activism.


Aja Daashuur

AJA is a Spirit Guide Coach/Medium, Akashic Records Reader and founder of Spirit House Collective (L.A.)- a female identifying community, dedicated to spreading knowledge and love. SHC provides a sacred space for women to release whatever weight rests on her shoulders, while learning to explore individual paths and to love herself unapologetically. She is a true believer in the innate power ever woman has to achieve success through self love.

Spirit Guide Life Coaching is an incredibly intimate and rewarding process that allows you to hear the advice and support that your guides have for you. Their guidance and ideas are then incorporated into AJA's intuitive coaching process in order to help you form a plan to break negative patterns, find your path, and accept the love and support that your guides surround you with every single day.

Sherene Vismaya Schostak

Sherene Vismaya Schostak, M.A. is a Jungian Analyst, astrologer and authentic movement teacher. She has been in private practice in New York City/SF for the past eighteen years consulting, writing and teaching. She specializes in depression, anxiety, addiction, creative blocks and eating disorders. She is the creator of Zodiac Dance DVD and the authentic movement workshops from which it was derived. She is the co-author of Surviving Saturn's Return: Overcoming the most tumultuous time of your life (McGraw Hill) as well as the The Fate of Your Date (Chronicle Books) and Transpersonal Astrology. She is currently the resident astrologer at Elle UK magazine and and LOFT. Sherene teaches workshops and leads retreats internationally.


Michael Cardenas

Michael Cardenas is the head brujo over at Olde Ways and Olde Ways Apothecary, where he offers spiritual services and hand made organic ritual products. He is an initiate of the Santeria tradition with a background and education in several different forms of witchcraft, spiritual healing, and folk magic. He has over 15 years experience offering workshops, tarot readings, custom spellwork, and his highly popular monthly group rituals.


Kelsey Barrett

Kelsey Barrett is a western clinical herbalist, organic gardener, and nourishing traditional food enthusiast. Kelsey began her studies on a pilgrimage to France, studying traditional European herbal medicine with master herbalist Matthew Wood and flower essences with author Julia Graves. She then completed a six-month apprenticeship in Organic Agriculture at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA followed by a three-year apprenticeship in Western Herbalism at the Ohlone Herbal Center in Berkeley, CA. Kelsey served as Director and core teaching faculty member at Ohlone for three years while supervising students in the community herbal clinic for one year. Kelsey's herbal and environmental insights have been published in Vogue, Edible East Bay and GOOD Magazine. In the past year Kelsey has focused on connecting and healing our relationship to the archetype of the witch through a plant medicine/story telling performance "Story of the Witch", featuring Leah Lamb and Starhawk. Kelsey currently holds a private herbalism practice seeing clients, and manages the Wellness Den at Spirit Weavers Gathering.

Karyn Crisis

Karyn Crisis is a Spirit Medium, communicating with and giving messages from the Spirit World of Goddesses and Guides. She is an author and a teacher of Mediumship and channeling.

Her personal partnership her Spirit world team has guided her towards historical reclamation through anthropological documentation of women in Italy who are part of Lineage practices. She's been guided to research and reclaim these pre-pagan feminine curative practices of Italy. She's the author of "Italy's Witches and Medicine Women Volume 1," which gives a groundbreaking insider experiential view and an historical perspective to the largely unknown world of Italy's Lineage healers and untangles these practices from paganism and magic.

Napaquetzalli is a queer Xicana/Indigenous herbalist and healer. Napa has studied both traditional Mexican curanderismo as well as clinical Western herbalism, with a passion for creating accessible and culturally relevant herbal medicine for her community. She is a co-founder of Curanderas Sin Fronteras, a collective that provides spiritual and herbal support for the Bay Area Latinx community and also works as an herbalist a the Scarlet Sage Herb Co. in SF Mission District. Her practice is rooted in helping others reconnect to ancestral and intuitive knowledge, as well as decolonizing our relationships to the earth, our bodies, and each other.

Mary Grisey

Mary Grisey is a clairvoyant tarot reader and visual artist based out of Ojai, California. She has been working with the tarot for 15 years and draws from a variety of esoteric systems including astrology, numerology and symbolism to conduct her readings and teachings. She has been connected to the unseen world ever since she can remember and works closely with her Spirit guide, Ruth. During her sessions, Mary channels her client's ancestors, guides and loved ones. Her psychic approach is heart-centered, therapeutic and always in the highest good of the client. Her fine art background provides a unique approach to her readings and teachings as they tend to foster creativity, inventiveness and imagination.

Shayne Case

Born from the forest's edge in southwestern Germany and hand fed by the prairie ghosts of her Lakota ancestry, Shayne is a mother, healer, teacher, writer, medicine maker, and an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon where she has been in private practice for the last 17 years helping bridge communication between people and their spiritual guides using traditional medicines.

Shayne is creator and director of Under the Eagle's Wing: A School for Emerging Healers, aka Eagle School, a three year mentorship/ apprenticeship program that aims to help people connect with their own roots, wisdom, and inherent knowing in order to gain confidence in offering their unique medicine to the world. She is the founder of the Toki Amanwani Project which aims to conserve native medicine by making flower essences on Lakota reservation lands; distribute trauma relief flower essences to native peoples; and, to engage Lakota youth in the process of making sacred plant medicines.


Pavini Moray

Pavini Moray, M.Ed, is a queer, gender-blessed, former elementary teacher-turned-somatic-sex and trauma therapist. A founder of the Embodiment Arts Collective, Pavini lives and works in San Francisco. Published in several anthologies, including the recent "Queer Magic" Pavini hosts the podcast Bespoken Bones: Ancestors at the crossroads of sex, magick and science, engaging revolutionary dialogue that tends the great wounds of culture.
